Want to know how to fix a bad testimonial? Well, the video you see here will walk you through how to do it in 5 minutes.
This is an important topic when it comes to social proof videos because it’s inevitable that you will get some bad testimonial videos from clients.
The thing that makes it worse is that you’ll feel obligated to use it because of the time that was spent by your client to do the testimonial video.
If you don’t use it, the client will wonder why and it’ll put you in a strange situation.
So you’ll be forced to use a bad testimonial video when you don’t want to.
But there are a few ways to fix that bad testimonial.
One is you could always ask them to do another one.
But I’ve found that can be a touchy subject. Especially if the testimonial came from someone who was already self-conscious.
So then what can you do?
Well, you can break out some basic video editing software and add just a few tweaks to make it better.
And don’t worry about what software or the actual way to do it.
What’s important is the method covered here in the video.
Even if you don’t know a thing about video editing, you can always find an editor and have them follow this strategy.
Or I can do it for you if you’d like.
Either way, it’s important not to get caught up in the software.
It’s understanding the basic method that is important.
All that being said…
Editing will only do so much.
It’s kind of like the saying goes…
“You can’t polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter.”
The same goes for bad social proof.
And you’ll see that in the edited version of the testimonial above. It’s not great at all, but it’s better than the original.
So if you’ve got some bad testimonial videos, you can add a bit of glitter to them to make them usable.
And it won’t take long to do.
It’ll just take a little editing magic.
